Fire Apparatus/Ambulance Account Manager 

Firefighter One (FF1) is a distributor of first responder apparatus, gear, and equipment based in New Jersey. For nearly 18 years, we've served fire, EMS, and law enforcement departments. Today, our Apparatus Division is looking for highly motivated and
skilled people who want to be Fire Truck and Ambulance Sales Representatives.

The Account Managers primary responsibility is to attain or exceed the agreed-upon goals in trucks sold and revenue realized while in alignment with the company vision, mission, and core values.

Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate technical specifications for customer/dealer quotations, bids, and orders in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Communicate consistently with customers and internal departments to clarify technical details regarding orders.

  • Review customer’s specifications to properly match the correct model and configure/create the specifications to be used for quotes.

  • Coordinate complete preparation of all technical documentation and pricing required for bids and proposals.

  • Key point of contact for account management, analysis of quote requests & contracts, as well as an overall evaluation of customer technical requirements.

  • Coordinate and host, in a professional demeanor, customer/dealer visits and product inspections, as needed.

  • Sufficient working knowledge of the technical configurations of various apparatus.

  • As required, this person may prepare forecasts, project charts, goals & objectives, in-house reports, and written & verbal correspondence to customers, distributors, and vendors.

  • Evening or weekend work with customers may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Sale Experience

  • Experience in bid and proposal activities

  • EMS or fire background as paid professional or volunteer preferred.

  • Technical knowledge of ambulance and fire fighting apparatus

  • The ability to communicate effectively, deal diplomatically with customers & dealers, work independently, prioritize and manage numerous projects and be innovative and creative

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Pages, Numbers, and company software.

  • Travel is required.


Compensation: To be determined by the experience of the candidate.
