Position Overview:

Firefighter One is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Scott Service Technician to join our Equipment Service Division. This position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of Scott SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) and related life safety equipment in accordance with manufacturer and NFPA standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic who is looking for flexible, part-time employment within the fire service industry. This part-time position has the potential to transition into a full-time role in the future based on performance and company growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform annual flow testing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on Scott SCBA equipment

  • Inspect and service cylinders, regulators, facepieces, PASS devices, and related components

  • Complete accurate service documentation and maintain detailed service records

  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and NFPA standards

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Provide professional customer service during in-shop and field service appointments

  • Assist with equipment pick-up, delivery, and logistics when required

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

  • Ability to follow technical procedures and manufacturer guidelines

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred (but not required):

  • Prior experience servicing Scott SCBA equipment

  • Experience in fire service, emergency services, or related technical field

  • Factory training or certification on Scott Safety equipment

Schedule & Compensation

  • Part-time position (flexible scheduling available)

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience
