AeroFlex® Turnout Coat
Details
Heat stress contributes to more than half of reported line-of-duty deaths. As core temperature climbs, concentration and decision-making go with it. AeroFlex® is Fire-Dex's attempt to address that in the garment itself rather than leaving it to rehab — and it works on a genuinely clever principle: the vents run one way, driven by the pressure difference between the air outside and the microclimate inside your gear. Sweat vapour goes out; heat, moisture and carcinogens don't come in. The harder you work, the more air moves, and the more it cools.
- Certified to NFPA 1970
- VaporLite® panels placed where heat and sweat concentrate — side seams and armpits on the coat
- AeroVent® Technology within those zones, moving warm humid air outward under pressure, each vent carrying an integrated particulate-blocking element
- VaporLite® composite is built from a TECGEN71® outer shell, CoreCXP™ single-layer thermal liner and your choice of CROSSTECH® Black or STEDAIR® 4000 moisture barrier
- Designed to align with the body's natural hinge points for flexibility and minimal coat rise
- Remaining materials can be specified freely — the panels cool the core of any composite
Independently verified. UL Solutions verified particulate ingress results under UL Verification 1641, confirming 0% particulate ingress when the SCBA harness is properly engaged. In wear testing, AeroFlex® showed 0.3°C lower core temperatures and a 33% reduction in sweat rate.
