Job Summary:
FF1 Apparatus LLC is a premier emergency vehicle sales and service company headquartered in Northern New Jersey. We are seeking an organized and experienced Parts Manager to oversee all aspects of parts operations for emergency and heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will manage inventory, sourcing, and vendor relationships while supporting the service and sales teams to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective parts availability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day parts department operations, including inventory control, ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution.

  • Source parts for emergency vehicles and heavy-duty trucks, ensuring availability to meet service and repair demands.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure proper stock levels.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers; negotiate pricing and lead times when applicable.

  • Coordinate with service writers and technicians to identify parts requirements, availability, and delivery timelines.

  • Prepare parts quotes and ensure accurate pricing, freight, and core charges are applied.

  • Monitor parts usage, warranty returns, and core management.

  • Ensure all parts documentation is complete and accurate for billing and accounting purposes.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department in compliance with company policies.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in parts management or parts counter operations for heavy-duty trucks, emergency vehicles, or similar equipment.

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems, including diesel engines, pumps, aerial devices, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret parts manuals, schematics, and manufacturer catalogs.

Tools & Technology

  • Proficiency in could-based software and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong general computer and data-entry skills.

Communication & Organization

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with service, sales, and accounting teams.

Work Environment & Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced shop environment.

  • Capable of lifting parts and working in a warehouse or shop setting as needed.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional after-hours or weekend support.

  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

  • Forklift certification required or to be obtained within 60 days of hire.


Compensation: To be determined by the experience of the candidate.
